We believe God has given our local assembly four fundamental responsibilities. God has ordained these methods to build his church and to ultimately enhance his glory. All the endeavors and ministries of Calvary Gospel Chapel must contribute to accomplishing these four fundamental responsibilities.
1) Preaching / Evangelism: Communicate the gospel message to those who have not trusted Christ as Savior (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 5:16-20). We will strive to accomplish this responsibility personally, in our community and through support of world missions.
2) Teaching / Exhortation: Proclaim sound doctrine -- the truth of God's Word - with personal holiness as the final goal (Colossians 1:28; 2 Timothy 4:1,2; Titus 2:1).
3) Equipping / Loving: Train every believer to be a mature and productive member of God's family, in accordance with their individual gifts (Ephesians 4:11-13; 2 Timothy 2:2). We will strive to be faithful in prayer, in mutual edification, in spiritual fellowship and through collective worship.
4) Service / Serving: Minister to the needs of others in love, practically imitating the sacrificial love of Jesus (Ephesians 5:1,2; Philippians 2:3,4).
